Objectives

The core objective of the department is to train and cultivate advanced personnel who are capable of integrating avionics engkneenng and systems and who have a profound understanding of the functions and pnnclples In designing, manufacturing, repairing, inspecting, and troubleshooting avionics systems

Characteristics

To meet the needs of the avionics industry and the nation s economic development, the avionics program focuses on teaching and research and development in avionics systems. communication and navigation, optic-electronic, and aircraft simulation. Combining theory and practice, the courses are designed to foster personal interests and future development, paving the best path o( learning for the students.

Students are required to participate in certain projects to demonstrate their capability to apply what they have learned to designing and to solving engineering problems. The program enablos students to develop themselves, to work in teams and to gain recognition and respect in interscholastic competitions

Curriculum

Three groups of courses are offered: airplane simulation and computer applications. communication guidance and optical fiber applications, and avionics systems.

Facilities

Laboratones include the Avionics System Lab,

Digital System Lab, Fiber-Optic Applications

Research Lab, Electronics Lab, EMC &

Antenna Research Lab, Flight Simulahon &

Contro’ Research Lab.
